I was the leading figure in Operational Excellence at Royal Mail, having led Royal Mail’s World Class Manufacturing Programme for four years and then went on to apply this in my own teams as a Plant Manager, Operations Director and as the Managing Director of Parcelforce Worldwide.
I found my years leading Operational Excellence to be the most fulfilling and stimulating time in my career. ABC is about tapping into that energy and activating it in other organisations to help other people, teams and businesses grow.

My experience of Operational Excellence was life changing but truthfully there were flaws in the approach being practiced, it was quite complex and this was exacerbated by the sheer breadth of the approach. It would give already struggling businesses 10 more plates to spin! It also led to some divisions in organisations between those that were literate in the methodologies and those that were not (who were left feeling isolated).
